In conjunction with Kyoto Institute of Technology’s transition to a 21st century international engineering university, this center was established in 2006 to assist with a range of technical aspects of education and research. It is organized into eight sections and the following four divisions: biology and material synthesis, analysis and measurement, information, and manufacturing and design. Center staff provide expert technical and educational support, assist researchers with participation in projects, assist students conducting experiments, participating in practicums, training, labs and other exercises and provide support for courses, programs, departments, and other centers. Staff also pass on proven tips, methods, and techniques; upgrade the level of technology being used; and contribute to technical developments unique to the center.
