【学生体験談】
日本での滞在を始めてすぐに、京都工芸繊維大学でのJoinTECH Laboratoryプログラムへの参加が、自分にとって特別で刺激的な機会であると感じました。また、今回の経験が、私の学術的?専門的スキルを高めるだけでなく、国際的な研究環境への理解を深める貴重な機会になると確信しました。
日本に来て数週間が経ちましたが、私は京都の日常生活にできる限り溶け込もうとしています。国際課の皆さまによるサポートや、まりこうじ会館での温かい歓迎のおかげで、新生活への適応はとてもスムーズでした。
研究グループの皆さんも非常に親切で協力的であり、基板の洗浄、装置の立ち上げ、Mist CVD法による成膜、さらにはX線回折や電子顕微鏡を使った高度な評価技術に至るまで、研究室でのあらゆる工程を丁寧に教えてくださいました。
京都工芸繊維大学での滞在にあたって楽しみにしていたことは、結晶成長や評価の分野で新しい技術を学ぶこと、特にMist CVD法について理解を深めること、そして現地の研究者の方々とアイデアを交換することでした。
チューターや研究グループの皆さんから直接学び、疑問点について話し合うことは、実践的なスキルと新しい視点の両方を得るうえで非常に貴重な経験となりました。京都工芸繊維大学、西中先生、そしてこのプログラムに関わる皆さんが、この文化的?科学的な交流を支援してくださったことへの感謝の気持ちを強くしています。
研究室の外でも、京都ならではの名所や風景を巡ることも存分に楽しんでいます。伝統?革新?自然が見事に調和したこの街に、私はすっかり魅了されました。京都は、その文化的な美しさだけでなく、ここで築いた温かな人間関係によって、私の心に特別な場所として刻まれることでしょう。

Student report:
Just starting my stay in Japan, I could tell that participating in the JoinTECH Laboratory program at KIT was a unique and exciting opportunity for me. During my stay, I was looking forward to learning new techniques in the crystal growth and characterization field, deepening my understanding—especially of Mist CVD methods—and exchanging ideas with the local researchers. I believed this experience would not only enhance my academic and professional skills but also broaden my understanding of international research environments. I was—and now, even more, so I am—grateful to KIT, Prof. Nishinaka, and the program for supporting this cultural and scientific exchange.
After a few weeks in Japan, I have tried to immerse myself fully in Kyoto’s daily way of life. Thanks to the International Affairs Office’s coordination and the warm welcome at Marikoji Kaikan dormitories, settling in has been a smooth process. Everyone in the research group has been incredibly kind and supportive, guiding me through each laboratory process, from substrate cleaning and equipment setup to Mist CVD film deposition and advanced characterization techniques like X ray diffraction and electron microscopy. Learning directly from my tutors and discussing all my questions with them has been invaluable, giving me both practical skills and fresh perspectives.
Outside the lab, I have also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many spots and landscapes that make Kyoto so special. The city has captivated me with its seamless blend of tradition, innovation, and nature. Kyoto will always hold a special place in my heart, not only for its cultural beauty but for the warm connections I’ve made here.
